Preliminary analysis indicates January’s contracted house sales were up 9 per cent on December with the major increase in reported activity coming from the coastal corridors.
These included the Joondalup South and Wanneroo North West sub-markets in the north and the entire southern corridor from Cockburn to Rockingham.
Whilst there was increased activity in the inland corridors, it was only the Armadale-Serpentine area (24 per cent) that posted an increase greater than the market increase.
Turning briefly back to this week’s data, there was negligible movement in either sale or rental listings with both up just 1 per cent.
