Lunch with Mark Latham
The Stirling Business Association in conjunction with the Federal Member for Stirling the Honourable Jann McFarlane MP are holding a luncheon featuring the Federal Labor Leader the Honourable Mark Latham MP, on Wednesday April 14 at the Rendezvous Observation City Hotel.
During the luncheon Mr Latham will speak on the topic of Opportunity for All: Labor’s Small Business Agenda which will outline the Federal Labor Party’s stance on issues that are relevant to the small business community in Australia.
Their will also be a question and answer session following Mr Latham’s address as well as the opportunity to personally meet with and pose questions to Mr Latham relating to issues that are affecting the small business community.

WA Press Club Luncheon
On Monday April 19 the Western Australian Press Club is conducting a luncheon featuring Future Directions International managing director Lee Cordner in the Ruby Room at the Ibis Hotel.
Mr Cordner will speak on the topic of Critical Choices for National Development during the luncheon and will discuss how Australia’s future success is critically dependent upon the choices we make now and the need to understand the long-term implications of important decisions made across a range of issues.
He will also briefly explore the correlation between issues like water, energy, population, national security and international engagement and outline how it is essential that decision-makers in government and business recognise the links and take the long view.

17th Australian Gold Conference & Paydirt’s Gold Conference
The Australian Gold Council is holding the 17th Australian Gold Conference on Monday April 19 at the Burswood Convention Centre.
The theme for this years conference is Gold: A Sustainable Industry and will focus on issues of sustainability across all areas of the industry including current and future sustainability ratings and what sustainability really means for the gold industry in Australia.
Other issues that will be addressed during the conference include the state of the industry, project financing, exploration performance, consumer demand, the future of gold equities and relationship contracting.

Managing Occupational Safety & Health
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia is holding a workshop titled Managing Occupational Safety & Health on Wednesday April 14 to Friday April 16 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Centre for Learning.
This workshop has been designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively implement and supervise a workplace risk management program, with skills developed via practical, interactive activities designed to relate to actual workplace situations.
