Tenix Alliance has acquired the electricity distribution services business of C&S Powerlines Pty Ltd, including staff, intellectual property and business assets.
Tenix Alliance is one of the region's leading providers of design, construction, maintenance, operation and asset management services for the electricity, water and gas markets.
C&S Powerlines has provided electricity distribution network services for some four years to West Australian clients Western Power and Alinta Asset Management.
The acquisition of C&S Powerlines follows the purchase of West Australian company Atomic Power by Tenix Alliance earlier this year.
Tenix Alliance Chief Executive Officer, Sean Woellner, said the decision to expand the capability in Western Australia was a direct response to market opportunities and the commitment by industry to invest heavily in network upgrades.
"Our purchase of C&S Powerlines brings our workforce to around 100 people, which provides a secure foundation to deliver electricity distribution network services in Western Australia," he said.
"C&S Powerlines has an established training record with experienced and senior qualified trainers, giving Tenix Alliance a skill set that will be valuable to the entire business.
"Our mandate is clear: to continue to grow Tenix Alliance and provide the best qualified and trained employees to deliver asset services to the electricity, water and gas markets."
Tenix Alliance has a long history of providing electricity distribution network services to major utility clients such as SP AusNet in Victoria, Ergon Energy in Queensland and Powerco in New Zealand.
Tenix Alliance first entered the West Australian utility market in 2004 with the purchase of Environmental Solutions International and has since delivered large infrastructure projects in the wastewater sector and provided maintenance services to the power generation sector.
