Straits Resources chairman David Toms and non-executive director Richard Chat have secured about $1.5 million through selling Straits shares.
Mr Toms’ on-market Straits trade of 750,000 shares, through his investment vehicle Sebuku Investments, raised just less than $1 million.
In Mr Chat’s case, the on-market trade of 360,000 shares returned him just over $505,000.
Mr Chat is also linked to Sebuku Investments.
Straits company secretary James Carter said Sebuku was domiciled on Jersey in the Channel Islands.
With the trade, Mr Toms’ stake in Straits stands at 29 million shares, a holding that is worth almost $38.8 million.
Mr Chat’s holding of 3.2 million Straits shares is valued at $4.2 million.
Straits owns the 2,000,000-tonnes-a-year Sebuku coal mine in Indonesia.
Its most recent acquisition was the Hillgrove Gold mine near Armidale in NSW for $8 million, with payment to be made in four instalments over 12 months.
Each instalment is to be 50 per cent in cash and 50 per cent in Straits shares.
