Perth-based oil and gas exploration data transcription firm SpectrumData has merged with Houston data transcription provider Ovation Data Services.
Ovation Data Services provides data transcription services, digital asset management and storage systems for the oil, gas and exploration industry.
"For our Australian and NZ customers, it will very much be "business as usual", but customers of both companies will benefit from the combined experience and the specialist knowledge this merger brings together" said SpectrumData's founder Guy Holmes.
"Both Ovation and SpectrumData are industry leaders in their own regional markets, and our data services and expertise are critical for protecting the valued and often irreplaceable digital assets of our customers," he said.
"The merger strengthens Ovation's Asia Pacific presence in the exploration and production industry and will enable us to expand into new markets," said Ovation president Gregory Servos.
