Singapore Airlines will reportedly cut the number of flights to Perth, Sydney and Brisbane due to falling passenger numbers.
According to a report in Singapore's Strait Times, 214 flights will be cancelled from now until the end of March.
A circular was sent to travel agents earlier this week saying the airline will reduce the number of flights to Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou in China, and Mumbai and New Delhi in India.
There will also be fewer options for flights to London and Zurich.
An airline spokesperson reportedly said the company did not want to be "flying half-empty planes around the world any longer than we have to, because it increases our cost burden at a time when we can least afford it."
Industry players said the 214 flight cut represents less than 3 per cent of the airline's total.
