The Property Council of Australia is hosting its annual Shopping Centre Conference, March 16 at the Joondalup Resort. The theme for this years’ conference is ‘Big Picture Issues – Bottom Line Impact’. Luke Saraceni, president of the Property Council’s WA division, will open the conference and introduce the following interstate and local industry specialists: Graham Terry, CEO of Centro Properties Group; l Michael Baker, director retail advisory of Urbis JHD; l Lorraine Beck, national marketing manager of Savills; l Milton Cockburn, executive director of Shopping Centre Council of Australia; l Marcus Solomon, chairman of Gaden Lawyers; l Jim Tsagalis, managing director of Lease Equity; l Stuart Best, retail design manager of Westfield Ltd; and l Joe Lenzo from Property Council of Australia. Attendees will be brought up-to-date with the latest trends in Australian retail property and consumer spending trends, as well as how to lease a difficult centre.
