Senior staff reappointed

PRIMARY Industry and Fisheries Minister Monty House has re-appointed two of his most senior staff.

Graeme Robertson was re-appointed chief executive of Agriculture WA for a five-year term while Peter Rogers has been appointed CEO of Fisheries WA extended for a further five years.

Mr House said Dr Robertson had made a major contribution to national agricultural policy.

Dr Robertson said highlights of the past five years included the development of world-class facilities in key regional areas, increased participation by farmer groups in research and development and the ongoing success of the agency in attracting external and industry funds.

Mr House said Mr Rogers had played a vital role in increasing the economic and social benefits from the fisheries sector to WA.
