Environmentally friendly nappy maker SeNevens International says it has changed its management and restructured its board following a legal action against the company.
SeNevens also said it had appointed a new manufacturer and was in the process of developing a replacement nappy product.
The Federal Court of Australia recently declared that claims made by SeNevens that its Safeties Nature Nappy product was 100 per cent biodegradable were false and misleading, following an investigation by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
SeNevens, which withdrew the product from sale in April 2008, said since the commencement of the ACCC enquiry in late 2007, it has completely replaced its executive management, as well as substantially restructuring its board.
SeNevens said related proceedings were continuing against former director Charishma Seneviratne, for allegedly being knowingly concerned in or party to the contravening conduct.
The company said its new nappy product was currently undergoing independent scientific testing.
