New Iluka Resources Ltd managing director David Robb has quickly made his mark at the mineral sands producer by instituting a new management structure and recruiting a new chief financial officer from his old employer.
The changes will see the departure of executive general manager global operations Bill Bisset, who had been with the underperforming company for four years.
Mr Robb has put in place a new organisational structure to facilitate a "flatter and more directly accountable" operatonal management team.
Under the new arrangements, Iluka's regional businesses of Western Australia, Murray Basin (on the Victoria-NSW border) and the United States will report directly to Mr Robb.
WA is run by Mark Adams, Murray Basin is run by Peter Beilby while Allan Sale runs the Virginia-based US operations.
The managing director of Iluka's 51 per cent owned subsidiary Consolidated Rutile Limited, whch has operations in Queensland, will also report direct to Mr Robb.
As a result of these changes, Mr Bisset has accepted a redundancy arrangement and will be leaving the company over the coming weeks.
These changes follow yesterday's announcement that Iluka has recruited Wesfarmer Energy CFO David McMahon as its new CFO.
Mr Robb, who was previously managing director of Wesfarmers Energy, was recruited earlier this year to address the chronic underperformance of Iluka.
He replaced Mike Folwell while Mr McMahon, who will join the company in January, replaces former CFO David Grant.
