The chief executive of Welshpool-based Engineering company RCR Tomlinson Ltd, John Linden, is in hospital after suffering what appears to be a mild stroke.
Mr Linden, who was awake and alert when visited by senior company management yesterday, admitted himself to hospital on Tuesday night.
RCR chief operating officer John Noordhoek has taken on the role of chief executive in Mr Linden's absence, with the company saying all strategic and operational initiatives will continue as normal.

The Company wishes to advise that John Linden, Chief Executive Officer, admitted himself to hospital on Tuesday night after suffering what appears to be a mild stroke. Senior Management who visited him yesterday reported that he was awake and very alert. It is not known at this stage how long his recovery will take and as such John Noordhoek, Chief Operating Officer and director of the company, is acting Chief Executive Officer, a role he normally fills in John Linden's absence. All the Company's current strategic and operational initiatives will continue as normal. The Company wishes John a speedy recovery.
