Osborne Park-based Quality Press has invested $4.5 million in a new printing press that will allow it to keep pace with increasing time constraints on printing jobs.
According to Quality Press production director Ramesh Patel, clients want their work delivered almost on demand, but getting a quick turnaround required the purchase of a 10-colour press.
“We can print on both sides in one hit, it’s the fastest and most automatic machine and the first of its kind in Western Australia,” Mr Patel told WA Business News.
Mr Patel said that, during a recent research business trip in the US, it was evident that there was a strong demand for five-colour print jobs, but the company wanted to completed the jobs in “one pass”, therefore reducing printing time, and decided to invest in the 10-colour machine.
