West Perth-based information management and technology company Quadrant Group has been appointed to provide ongoing strategic support to the Departments of the Attorney General and Corrective Services.
The contract covers development of an integrated programme, ensuring IMT supports business direction and priorities.
Quadrant Group founding partner Tony Lightman said the group was thrilled to have secured the work, which reinforces the strategic support previously supplied to the Department.
Quadrant was the successful vendor in an open tender process that involved a number of competitive bids.
The Departments' director of information services Bob Berg said the Quadrant Group was the driving force behind the establishment of its IT governance framework and refreshment of the ICT plan.
"The immediate priority for Quadrant is to assist us with a programme of Common Party capability, which could potentially become the groundwork for integration across the entire justice sector," Mr Berg said.
"We will also work on a framework to maintain the synergies between both Departments, to progress integration across business and promote information sharing."
Quadrant Group's justice client manager Nicole Carter will oversee the two-year service contract.
She said Quadrant would continue to work with business and IT to improve IMT services and act as an independent sounding board to help achieve desired outcomes.
"We expect to progress the Strategic ICT plan to re-align it with the new environment of two departments, in keeping with whole of government strategies," she said.
