Premier Coal gets noise tick

The Environmental Protection Authority has recommended that Wesfarmers Premier Coal be granted approval to vary from standard noise regulations at the Premier mine near Collie.

In a recommendation to the Minister for the Environment, the EPA said a financial package offered by Wesfarmers to residents in the district of Buckingham was likely to be able to provide some, or complete, relief from noise coming from the mine site.
