Precedent to commence Plan B
PLAN B Financial Services, a new name in financial planning in WA, has been unveiled by Premier Richard Court at a Matilda Bay function.
Plan B is the name under which the financial planning operations of Precedent Financial Services will operate.
BankWest has a 50 per cent shareholding in Plan B Financial Services.
Plan B had its origins in 1986 when Bryan Taylor and Craig Lubich formed a financial planning service that espoused a relationship-based approach to investors.
The group now has more than $1 billion of funds under advice.
BankWest managing director Terry Budge said at the launch that predictions about the longevity of current and future generations meant a person retiring at fifty-five might need to be financially secure for another fifty years or more after their working life ended.
He told guests the current generation of baby boomers, while comparatively wealthy, would need to plan for the kind of future lifestyle they had become accustomed to during their working lives.
