The supermarket groups will commence stocking redisland in June and July.
Delhaize America's subsidiaries Hannaford's and Kash n' Karry / Sweetbay will sell redisland from 245 stores, while Piquant Blue will supply Demoulas Super Markets into 58 of its grocery stores under the Market Basket and Demoulas Super Market names.
Hannaford's is one of the dominant supermarket chains in the north east, while Kash n' Karry has extensive coverage of the Tampa area in Florida. Sweetbay is a new concept store format introduced in the Tampa area by Kash n' Karry.
Demoulas Super Markets runs 58 grocery stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
This follows last week's agreements with Albertson's Inc. and The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, which will carry the Australian brand of extra virgin olive oil in a total of 850 stores across several major US supermarket chains.
At 1230 WST, shares in Piquant Blue were down 1.5 cents to 41 cents.

Piquant Blue Limited, Australia's largest olive oil sales and marketing company, has secured two more supermarket groups to sell its redislandTM brand in the USA. Delhaize America and Demoulas Super Markets will commence stocking redislandTM in June and July.
This follows last week's agreements with Albertson's Inc. and The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P), which will carry the Australian brand of extra virgin olive oil in a total of 850 stores across several major US supermarket chains.
Hannaford's and Kash n' Karry / Sweetbay are subsidiaries of Delhaize America, the US division of Brussels-based Delhaize Group. Hannaford's is one of the dominant supermarket chains in the north east, while Kash n' Karry has extensive coverage of the Tampa area in Florida. Sweetbay is a new concept store format introduced in the Tampa area by Kash n' Karry.
redislandTM will be sold in 245 Hannaford's, Kash n' Karry and Sweetbay stores with first shipments scheduled for June.
Demoulas Super Markets runs 58 grocery stores under the Market Basket and
Demoulas Super Market names in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. These stores have strong customer traffic, generating higher revenues per square foot than most other retail outlets in the north east region.
Piquant Blue will supply redislandTM into all 58 stores commencing July.
Piquant Blue has set itself an initial target of having 2,500 stores selling redislandTM in the US and the total number of stores now committed is 1,153.
It was previously advised that US inventory levels would be built up rapidly in the coming months in anticipation of repeat orders and new accounts in the near future. The Company advises that logistics, operational services and facilities are already in place to manage the roll out in each key area.
