Perth-founded property group Pindan has added to its growing presence on the east coast with two design and construct contracts in NSW.
The contracts comprise work on a $6.4 million apartment development in Cremorne on Sydney's lower north shore as well as a $13.5 million contract for an office and storage facility in Belmont, south of Newcastle.
Pindan business development manager James Allingame said the group’s Sydney-based construction team was already at work on the Otto Apartments by Winim Developments, which feature eight boutique two- and three-bedroom apartments over four storeys, as well as basement parking.
“We have a depth of expertise in the construction of high-quality residential projects and have partnered with Winim on two other developments prior to this,” he said.
“We’re proud to be forming an excellent ongoing relationship with them while building great assets for local communities and expanding our reach in NSW, providing work to our valued subcontractors and clients at a challenging time for many Australian businesses.”
Pindan and Winim have previously worked together on the $37 million East Lane mixed-use development in North Sydney, as well as retail and commercial space completed in 2018.
The second project win, an office and storage facility, is located on Bluebell Street in Belmont’s industrial precinct, home to national retailers Bunnings and Kennards, as well as Caltex and Hungry Jack’s.
“Work is under way on Greencoast Business Park and Greencoast Work and Store for Green Capital Belmont Trust, which encompasses the construction of four industrial buildings on two sites. Greencoast Work & Store offers mini warehouse/storage facilities, whilst Greencoast Business Park features a mix of showrooms/warehouses and office space,” Mr Allingame said.
“The units are ideal for personal storage, as workshops for small businesses, or for storing boats, caravans and motorhomes with some of them being as large as 407 square metres and featuring individual alarms, CCTV and a common wash bay.”
Pindan was established in Perth in 1977 and last October was taken over by Singaporean developer Oxley Holdings, after founders George Allingame and David Pringle announced their retirement.
