Perth's newest commercial hub launches at Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct
Leading independent commercial property specialists Sheffield Property are calling for expressions of interest in Western Australia’s most dynamic new office space, in Perth’s fast-growing southern corridor.
The Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct (MHKP), the first stage of the broader Murdoch Activity Centre (MAC), is primed to become one of Australia’s largest specialised centres and is projected to be Perth’s largest employment hub outside the CBD.
Developed by Fini Group, MHKP will comprise over $300 million in investment and will include aged care, hotel, short stay accommodation, residential apartments, commercial offices, retail, food and beverage, medical suites, allied health and Western Australia’s first medihotel.
Most components have already attracted significant levels of pre-commitment.
Sheffield Property have been appointed as the sole leasing agent for the commercial office building in the precinct, with construction expected to start mid-2020.
“The office building will have a landmark presence in the town centre of the destination precinct; surrounded by a hub of vibrant amenity and activity, including supermarket, cafés, retailers, gym and childcare.” said Sheffield Property Joint Managing Director Mark Clapham.
“The architect, HASSELL Studio – which recently received international acclaim for designing Optus Stadium –
is considered a world leader in office design and has adopted modern and innovative principles in design and sustainability.
“The office building will boast a minimum four levels of generous contiguous floorplates of 1,250sqm NLA, including a side core to allow a flexible working environment.”
MHKP is strategically positioned 12km south of the Perth CBD with adjacent access to the Kwinana Freeway, and in walking distance of Murdoch train station and bus interchange. Linking Murdoch University, Fiona Stanley and St John of God Murdoch Hospitals, MHKP is conveniently located, while being serviced by over 4000 public car parking spaces within 100m of the precinct.
“The commercial leasing opportunity at MHKP is generating interest from corporate office occupiers through to medical, health care, pharmaceutical and education-related companies, all wanting to be part of this precinct,” said Mr Clapham.
Pre-lease office opportunities at MHKP are available from 180sqm suites, whole floors of 1,250sqm or the entire building of approximately 8,000sqm.
