Interim results for television advertising revenue have revealed Perth has suffered the largest fall as compared to other capital cities.
Results released by Free TV Australia show Perth pulled in $151.78 million in gross advertising revenue for the six months to the end of December, a fall of 6.6 per cent from the previous corresponding period.
The compared to Sydney which fell 5.8 per cent to $566.5 million, Brisbane dropped 6 per cent to $258.1 million, Melbourne was down 4.3 per cent to $418.6 million and Adelaide fell 3.4 per cent to $113 million.
As a state, Western Australia also suffered the largest fall, dropping a 6 per cent fall to 175.4 million compared to New South Wales, down 4.9 per cent to $761 million and Queensland dropped 4.2 per cent to $370 million.
TV advertising revenue fell 3.8 per cent to $484.9 million in Victoria.
Channel Seven dominated over the other networks in all capital cities, claiming a 41.38 per cent share of the advertising revenue, while the Nine network grabbed 30.87 per cent and Ten took a 27.74 per cent share.
