Perth Airport has welcomed Tiger Airways' announcement of more flights to Singapore and additional direct connections between Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City.
From 1 June 2008 Tiger will operate 11 flights per week between Perth and Singapore.
Between 18 June and 10 August there will be two daily flights between Perth and Singapore to cater for the
popular northern summer schedule.
Perth Airport CEO Brad Geatches said that Tiger Airways had proved extremely popular with the Western Australian travelling public since starting its services between Perth and Singapore in March last year.
"Vietnam is emerging as a very popular travel destination and the extra Tiger Airways services, which
provide direct connections between Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City, will make travel to this fascinating country much simpler."
"The additional flights between Perth and Singapore will also be immensely popular with the Western
Australian public.
Tiger's prices represent great value for money and Tiger Airways is building up a great reputation as a reliable low cost carrier."
Mr Geatches added that the introduction of Tiger Airways services to Perth had proven to be a real success story.
"We look forward to continuing our great relationship with Tiger and creating new opportunities to expand links between Perth and Tiger's Australian and Asian destinations."
