Perilya to join S&P/ASX 200

Perth-based base metals explorer Perilya Ltd will join illustrious company when it commences listing on the Standard and Poor's/ASX 200 list on November 15.

The company will take the place of Burns Philp & Company Ltd, after the bid for the snack foods and ingredients company from Rank Group Australia Ltd was made unconditional.

Perilya Limited To Replace Burns Philp & Company Limited In The S&P/ASX Indices
Sydney, Nov. 8, 2006--Standard & Poor's today announced the removal of Burns Philp & Company Limited (ASX: OMP) from the S&P/ASX indices, effective from the close of trade Nov. 15, 2006. Burns Philp & Company Limited's removal is a result of the takeover by Rank Group Australia Pty Ltd. becoming unconditional.

The vacancy created by the removal of Burns Philp & Company Limited from the S&P/ASX 200 will be filled by Perilya Limited (ASX: PEM). This will become effective after the close of trading on Nov. 15, 2006.
