A resources executive who has held a number of exploration company Board positions in Australia has been appointed General Manager of ASX-listed diamond explorer, Paramount Mining Corporation Limited.
Paramount today announced the appointment of Mr Michael Higginson to the senior management team as the Company looks to expand its emerging diamond exploration ventures next year in Australia, Ghana and South Africa.
Mr Higginson has extensive corporate, legal and financial experience, including Board positions in recent years with two UK listed corporations. Prior to his UK appointments, Mr Higginson held numerous Australian public company directorships and was Company Secretary of a number of Australian Stock Exchange listed companies, primarily in the resources sector.
Prior to establishing his own corporate consulting practice in Perth in 1988, Mr Higginson was an Executive Officer with the ASX.
"Our key projects are all at a level to be stepped up and Mr Higginson's appointment reflects the necessity to now expand our in-house expertise to ensure the right impetus to our suite of projects across three countries," Paramount's Chief Executive Officer, Ms Maureen Muggeridge, said today.
"In particular, his skills will be applied in legal matters, corporate promotion, investor relations, corporate governance, project acquisition, contract negotiations and financial planning."
