Cable Beach Inter-Continental Resort Broome’s signature restaurant Pandanus has won the best fine dining venue category at the Australian Hotels Association Awards for Excellence.
The resort also won both luxury accommodation and meetings industry categories in the WA Tourism Awards.
The restaurant overlooks ponds and waterways and features Sidney Nolan paintings on the walls.
A spokesman described the cuisine as a blend of Australian, Asian and Mediterranean influences.
The spokesman said executive chef Robert Daylor had greatly influenced the ideas and concepts of the restaurant.
Pastry chef Peter Watterson is renowned for his delicate, creative touches including strawberries handpainted with chocolate.
