Mansell heads Bullabulling Gold
Peter Mansell has been appointed as non-executive chairman of Bullabulling Gold, a company formed recently out of the merger between GGG Resources and Auzex Resources to bring the Bullabulling gold project, south-west of Kalgoorlie, back into production. Mr Mansell is chairman of Ampella Mining and a director of BWP Management and Nyrstar. He is a former partner at Freehills and held the position of national chairman and then national chief operating officer until his retirement from the law firm in 2004. Mr Mansell is also a former chairman of West Australian Newspapers and Zinifex.
Kagara’s Robinson joins Energia
Uranium explorer Energia Minerals has recruited Kagara founder Kim Robinson as its managing director. Mr Robinson will commence in his role at the end of April, a little over a year after stepping down as executive chairman of base metals miner Kagara. He remains a non-executive director of Kagara and is also a director of Carbon Energy and chairman of Apex Minerals but plans to step down from those roles. Before founding Kagara, he had been executive chairman of Forrestania Gold for 10 years. Energia’s main focus is the Carley Bore uranium deposit, near Onslow.
Boyle leads nabbusiness WA
The National Australia Bank has appointed John Boyle as state general manager for nabbusiness in Western Australia. Mr Boyle has been acting in the role since December and has more than 25 years’ experience across a number of areas at NAB.
Waters takes over at Verve Energy
Jason Waters has been appointed as chief executive officer of Verve Energy following the resignation of Shirley In’t Veld, who leaves the company on April 30 after five years as managing director. Mr Waters is Verve’s general manager of trading and fuel. Before joining Verve, he was a mechanical engineer at Western Power.
