Dowling joins Atlas Iron
Jeff Dowling has been appointed as an independent non-executive director at WA iron ore miner Atlas Iron. Mr Dowling is the former managing partner of Ernst & Young Perth. His career at Ernst & Young spanned 36 years, and he has held numerous leadership roles within the company with a focus on the mining and oil and gas industries. Mr Dowling is currently also a director at the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research and the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra.
Manners enters Hall of Fame
Industry veteran Ron Manners (pictured) was inducted into the Mining Hall of Fame last week. He was nominated by Gina Rinehart, David Reed, Mark Creasy and Ross Louthean. Mr Manners was honoured principally for his work as chairman of Croesus Mining, which produced 1.275 million ounces of gold and paid 11 dividends to shareholders during his tenure. Other inductees were Paul Casserley, Max Radmanovich, Maureen Muggeridge, Edgar Elvey, Ken Shirley and George Willis.
McKinnon to Programmed
Maintenance services and staffing group Programmed has appointed former Austal Ships and Fleetwood Corporation managing director Robert McKinnon as a non-executive director. Mr McKinnon has also sat as chairman of the Esperance Port Authority and Tox Free Solutions. He is currently a non-executive director of Bankwest.
