Hames Sharley recruits Best
Retiring mayor of South Perth, James Best, has been appointed as director of futures and ideation at Hames Sharley. Mr Best will work across the disciplines of architecture, interiors, urban design, planning and landscape to develop the processes and concepts of creative planning, ideation and visioning. He was the founder of Best Business Communication, a management consultancy in Karratha that he started in 1996, and is also chair of the John Curtin Leadership Academy steering committee.
Plan B for Black
Andrew Black has been appointed as chief executive officer of wealth management company Plan B Group Holdings. Mr Black was previously managing director of Skandia Australia when it was a member of the Old Mutual Group. Prior to this, he was general manager private bank, investment lending and direct shares of St George Bank. Executive chairman Bryan Taylor had assumed the leadership responsibilities within the group in April last year when then managing director Denys Pearce stepped down after 11 years with the company.
