Faragher resigns from Cabinet
Environment Minister Donna Faragher has resigned from cabinet ahead of the birth of her first child, increasing speculation about the imminent return of disgraced former treasurer Troy Buswell to the front bench. Mrs Faragher was the youngest woman to be appointed to Cabinet in the state’s history at age 33.
Green, Lennox join Marketforce
Perth-based advertising agency Marketforce continued its major rebuilding, with the firm appointing Ben Green (left) and Patrick Lennox (right) as creative directors. Messrs Green and Lennox will replace outgoing creative director Andrew Tinning. Their appointments follow a string of recent changes. Rick Multari was appointed as director of client services two weeks ago. The move marked Mr Multari’s return to Perth after more than 12 years away, and followed Nicole Walton’s appointment as director of strategic planning.
Trinajstic awarded PM prize for science
Curtin University paleontologist Dr Katherine Trinajstic was awarded the $50,000 Malcolm McIntosh Prize for Physical Scientist of the year at the Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science presented at Parliament House last week.
