Hurley joins Wrays as chief executive
Frank Hurley has been appointed chief executive officer at patent and trademark lawyers Wrays. Mr Hurley is returning to Perth after four years in a senior management position with a Melbourne-based law firm. Mr Hurley has previously lectured in management at the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University. He has also held positions as director of research and development at Murdoch University.
Ellis appointed CEO of Talison
Bryan Ellis has been appointed chief executive officer of Talison Tantalum following its recent separation from sister company Talison Lithium. Mr Ellis is currently general manager marketing at the company. Mr Ellis has been involved in the Australian and international resources industry for more than 30 years.
White resigns from Wesfarmers board
David White has resigned from the board of Wesfarmers after 20 years as a non-executive director with effect from November 9. Mr White has been chairman of the Wesfarmers audit committee and a member of the nomination committee and is the longest serving of the current directors.
Ord Nexia, MGI merge
Ian Macpherson and Rob Parker, co-founders of Ord Nexia, have been appointed consultants at MGI Perth following a merger between the two accounting firms. They bring 40 years combined corporate experience to the merged firm.
