New line-up for SBDC board
Jeff Healy, Sonia McKeiver and Steven Dobson have been appointed to the board of the Small Business Development Corporation for three-year terms. Mr Healy is founder and owner of Monkey Logic, a niche marketing consultancy in Perth specialising in direct marketing. Ms McKeiver is a former compliance officer with the Financial Services Authority in London and case manager with the Financial Ombudsman Service in Melbourne. Mr Dobson is a partner and senior financial planner in a family-operated business. Existing SBDC board members Ray Mountney, who is chair, Kitty Prodonovich and Mark Irwin have been re-elected for two-year terms. Brent Pollard will retire from the board at the end of this month, leaving a regional member to be appointed.
Foster Decmil’s WA GM
Perth-based engineering and construction firm Decmil Australia has appointed Lawrie Foster as general manager Western Australia. Mr Foster was previously executive general manager at Laing O’Rourke, where he had overall responsibility for the operations and performance of Queensland, Northern Territory and WA. He played a role in securing the Ichthys onshore LNG facilities, EPC accommodation village package. Prior to that, he was operations manager and later general manager at Bovis Lend Lease. Mr Foster will report directly to Decmil managing director Ray Sputore.
Bankwest recruits top NAB executive
Former National Australia Bank state manager Andrew Whitechurch has been appointed head of Bankwest’s new products and marketing division. Mr Whitechurch has been with NAB for the past 18 years in various senior management positions, including the past seven in Western Australia. He has also spent four years working in New Zealand’s financial services sector, including a stint as general manager for the Bank of New Zealand. Bankwest managing director Rob De Luca said he looked forward to seeing the evolution of the lender’s products and brand under his leadership.
