Opposition Leader Paul Omodei has called on Alan Carpenter to cut short his trip to India and deal with the serious allegations raised at the Corruption and Crime Commission yesterday.
"The Premier must come back home to face the fire," Mr Omodei said.
"After all, it was a fire he started when he brought Norm Marlborough and Brian Burke into the Cabinet.
"Western Australia is now facing a crisis in the integrity of Government.
"Every Cabinet decision made by the Carpenter Government is now under a cloud.
"Claims by Brian Burke that he got confidential Cabinet information from two other ministers must be furthered examined by the CCC.
"To have one Minister leaking confidential Cabinet information is a crisis.
"To have more than one would highlight a culture of utter contempt for the process of Government.
"It is in the public interest that the people of Western Australia are told the truth about the extent of confidential information coming out of the Cabinet."
