LISTED property developer Australand Holdings is planning a 121-dwelling development on four recently acquired sites in Somerly, totalling 1.56 hectares. All dwellings will be within 100 metres of the new Clarkson rail station, and the site encompasses four separate blocks surrounding Somerly’s main intersection – Ocean Keys Boulevard and Ladera Drive. Australand general manager Chris Lewis said the location and significance of the ‘main street’ zoned site was outstanding and would enable Australand to establish Somerly as the ‘Subiaco for the north’. Australand purchased the town centre site from Somerly joint venture, which is managed by development group Urban Pacific Limited.“Urban Pacific Limited’s approach to Somerly with its transit oriented design concept, variety of land options for different home buyers and coastal location provides a great foundation to work from in developing this project,” Mr Lewis said. “The town centre will be limited to two levels of development and will feature approximately 80 apartments, 30 townhouses and selected retail premises.”
