Apple Cross-based global education services provider, Navitas Ltd today announced strong growth in student enrolments for the first semester of 2008 (200801).
The 200801 equivalent full time student unit (EFTSU) enrolment in the Company's University Programs division was 11,4691.
This represents growth of 25% on the first semester of 2007 ("200701") EFTSU enrolment of 9,142.
Navitas' Chief Executive Officer Rod Jones said today's result not only reflects the positive trends in international education but also the increasingly sophisticated efforts of the Company in recruitment.
"Enrolments are obviously a key performance indicator for us and we're pleased to report such strong figures from the most recent semester," said Mr Jones.
Campuses that contributed significantly to the growth in absolute number of EFTSU's enrolled included Queensland Institute of Business and Technology ("QIBT"), Fraser International College ("FIC"), Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology ("MIBT"), Sydney Institute of Business and Technology ("SIBT") and Curtin Sydney ("CUS").

The largest markets by nationality for new enrolments in 200801 were Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Pakistan.
Excellent growth was recorded from China (54%), India (77%), Vietnam (142%), Korea (44%) and Pakistan (118%).
