Alinta PO released

Private investors will have the opportunity to buy some of the 55 per cent of WA gas utility AlintaGas until October 6. The public offer document was distributed to 220,000 potential investors who registered their interest earlier this week. The public offer period opened on Monday. Retail investors will pay a maximum of $2.25 for each security. Institutional and brokers can invest from October 12-13.



Security alliance

TWO of WA’s biggest security companies MSA Security Service and Star Protection Security and Intelligence Services have joined forces. Star specialises in the provision of security officers and MSA has expertise in patrols and alarms. The alliance will be targeting both the residential and commercial markets. It has created a combined security staff pool of more than 400 guards.



WA finalists named

FOOD and resources sectors lead the way among the finalists for this year’s WA Industry and Export Awards. Finalists in the Industry Awards are the Baulderstone Clough joint venture, Fremantle Fishermen’s Cooperative Society, Gold Corporation, Q-Mac Electronics, Austal Ships, Jensen Jarrah, Sanford Securities, Kerman Contracting, Manjimup Syndicate Coolstores and RF Innovations. Export awards finalists are the Curtin University of Technology, Cambinata Yabbies, Geraldton Boat Builders, CVA Film and Television, Manjimup Syndicate Coolstores, Storyteller Productions, Efofex Software, WA International Education Marketing Group, Woodside Energy, Cape Telecoms, Hotbods Creatures, Prospero Productions, Lasata, Austal Ships, Consolidated Minerals, Kailis and France Foods, Sons of Gwalia, Marine & Offshore Group, Jensen Jarrah and Q-Mac Electronics. Winners will be announced on October 6.
