Monadelphous wins $50m in new contracts

Monadelphous Group Ltd announced today that the company has recently secured new projects in the resources and water sectors with a combined contract value of approximately $50 million. The projects secured include:

- Civil and structural works for the Mt Isa Zinc - Lead Concentrator Revamp Project at Xstrata's Mt Isa Mines operation in Queensland;

- Upgrade of the Yandi Sample Station for BHP Billiton Iron Ore's Rapid Growth Project 4 (RGP4) in Western Australia; and

- Construction of the Bargara waste water treatment plant upgrade for the Burnett Shire Council in Queensland.

Monadelphous Group Managing Director Robert Velletri said "Monadelphous is continuing to benefit from a strong resources sector and we are particularly pleased to be able to report another win in the water sector".

He said that the company was in a heavy tendering phase and was confident of announcing more contract wins over the coming months.
