Minister rejects uranium miner's appeal

In a rare move for the pro-mining Barnett government, environment minister Albert Jacob has sided with the Environmental Protection Authority and rejected appeals by Canadian company Cameco over its proposed Yeelirrie uranium mine in the Goldfields.

very poor decision!

I'm just a doctor who wish that no more uranium should be taken away for ever, as do many of my doctor friends.We need solar and wind. Fukushima, Hiroshima, Monte-Bellos and Maralinga- all for money for rich men and leaving nuclear waste. I don't know why you did not allow the uranium mine but I thank you!
