Salter Point-based health care company Medec Ltd has acquired New South Wales-based Centurion Tables Pty Ltd and will build a new head office in Sydney at a cost of $1 million over the next three years.
The acquisition will give MEDEC another professional treatment table range to add to its already existing two.
It will also give the company a new chief executive, with former Centurion proprietor Stephen Falkiner taking over the role with Medec and heading the company's treatment table division internationally.
"The extensive Medec product range and international network is an ideal basis to build a strong international business," Mr Falkiner said.
The company said in an announcement it expected the acquisition to add $1 million in revenue per year, taking its forecast revenue for the 2006-07 financial year to $21 million.
