Salter Point-based health care company Medec Ltd has acquired a 51 per cent stake in Malaysia's Unisense Sdn. Bhd for $400,000, with an option to acquire the remaining 49 per cent in 2008-09.
Unisense operates two coroporate health centres in Kuala Lumpur, as well as providing management, support and equipment leasing to a further nine centres throughout Malaysia which operate on a franchise basis.
Medec chief executive Josef Plattner said in an announcement that the aquisition was expected to contribute $1 million to the group in revenue once implementation and training was complete.
