Mandurah centre sells for $7.1m

THE Sands Shopping Centre in Mandurah has sold for $7.1 million, with the sale brokered by Porter Matthews managing director Bruce Porter. The site area is 7,661 square metres with a total net lettable area of 2,236sq m. Mr Porter said the property’s high-profile location on the corner of Mandurah Terrace and Anstruther Road was a major attraction to the purchaser. “The centre is all about service, fast food and convenience and it enjoys a loyal customer base from the surrounding residences, a high level of passing trade and an increasing tourist custom from the nearby Mandurah Ocean Marina,” he said. Porter Matthews will assume management of the property on settlement, scheduled for July 1 2005.
