One of the northern suburbs fastest growing schools has completed a transformational works program, adding 12 laboratories and 17 classrooms to the already sizeable site.
The $43 million works at Duncraig Senior High School started construction in 2023, and included the construction of two new two-storey blocks; one for science with 12 laboratories, and one for English with 17 classrooms.
Designed by With Architecture Studio and built by PS Structures, the two new blocks are connected by a covered footbridge.

Former science and English classrooms have been converted into engineering and technology laboratories, art studios and dedicated staff study areas.
The development came as Duncraig SHS enrolment numbers surged over the past few years, lifting from 1300 students in 2016 to over 1900 in 2025.
Education minister Sabine Winton said the new blocks would provide a space for collaboration, reflection and debate.
"The next-generation science learning block is a modern, purpose-built hub, meeting the needs of a growing school," she said.
"Generations of students will benefit from these new buildings and the learning environment they offer."

The upgrades were paid for through the state government's $5.4 billion investment in education infrastructure.
The project was initially funded to the tune of $32.3 million in 2021, under the then-McGowan government.
That figure rose to $43 million throughout construction.
With works now complete, the state government remains tight lipped on a community petition for a 'stage two' of works, a proposal which included performing arts, sports and fitness facilities.
The stage two works were petitioned in 2024, chiefly by then-Liberal candidate for Carine Liam Staltari—one of just five candidates who managed to gain a seat from WA Labor at the state election.
