Lumacom has appointed Christopher John Daws as a non-executive director following yesterday's AGM where Tim Ingram failed to be re-elected as a non-executive director of the company.
Mr Ingram was convincingly voted off the board, as more than 132 million votes went against his re-election compared to a little over 92 million votes in favour of his re-election.
The Osborne Park-based company said it was pleased to welcome Mr Daws to Lumacom bringing with him a variety of experience including four years as chief executive of Niagara Mining.
The company posted a loss of more than $600,000 for the financial year despite recording an increase in revenues from $2.48 million to $2.99 million.
The loss was put down to the weakening North American economy on which the company relied heavily.
