TWO significant IT services contracts worth almost $50 million with private and public bodies were awarded this week to a pair of global firms with offices in Perth.
Fujitsu Australia said it beat a number of other vendors to sign a new three-year, $15 million deal with Western Australian Police, with options to extend for a further two years, while CSC extended its existing relationship with Woodside Energy after securing a $30 million, three-year contract.
Fujitsu will provide program a number of other vendors, project and change management as well as business analysis services to WA Police. WA Police assistant superintendent Bill Leonard said Fujitsu’s services delivered the capability to scale up and down on demand in alignment with WA Police’s needs.
New York-listed CSC has worked with Woodside’s Information Solutions and Services group since 2006 and will continue to provide infrastructure outsourcing and support services.
CSC is also one of two preferred suppliers on a panel that will deliver resources, consulting and project services in the areas of infrastructure and application design and implementation, architecture and the company’s enterprise resource planning solution, SAP.
