From Tuesday September 28 to Friday October 1 the Curtin Business School will host the 3rd Asia Pacific Conference on Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning at the Hyatt Regency Perth.
The conference will address a number of issues impacting on education today, and is designed for academics and researchers, teachers and educational managers, higher degree students, educators or educational administrators working in a variety of areas (including vocational, early childhood to school, higher education and workplace and lifelong learning), and those interested in educational issues, developments and research, and concerns relating to continuing education.
Guest speakers over the course of the event include University of Southern Queensland deputy vice-chancellor (academic and global learning) professor Jim Taylor, University of Calgary Faculty of Education, associate dean in the Graduate Division of Educational Research and fellow at the University of Waikato New Zealand professor Charles Webber, RMIT University dean of academic development, science, engineering, and technology, professor Alex Radloff, educational staff development consultant Dr Beverly Showers, Kigali Institute of Science, Technology and Management Centre for Continuing Education director Antonia Mutoro, and the Chief Justice of Western Australia the Hon David Malcolm.
Some of the topics on the agenda will be education reform, regional and international cooperation, networking, marketing and financing, e-learning, infrastructural development, technologies, models of teaching and learning, providing continual education to poorly resourced nations, cultural and equity issues in globalised education environments, professional development and continuing learning.
