Langoulant joins CCI board

Former WA Under Treasurer and CCI Chief Executive John Langoulant has been elected to the Board of Directors of the State's peak business organisation.

With more than 35 years experience in government and the private sector, the Chief Executive of Oakajee Port and Rail was elected to the position this afternoon at CCI's Annual General Meeting.

He replaces the Managing Director of Alcoa Australia, Alan Cransberg, who will remain a member of CCI's peak policy making body, General Council.

Mr Langoulant serves on the Boards of a number of leading local and national institutions including the University of Western Australia, the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research, the West Australian Ballet, the Council of Australian Governments' Reform Council, Leadership WA and Committee for Perth.

He has also been recognised as an Officer of the Order of Australia in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours List.

He remains a member of CCI's General Council, and is Chair of CCI's Business Policy Forum.

CCI also welcomed the Chief Executive Officer of Westralia Airports Corporation, Brad Geatches, to General Council. CCI has also paid tribute to long serving member Russell Chapman, Managing Director Budget 4WD, who is retired from the General Council.
