Trish Scully has been revealed as the new chief executive for state government agency Landgate, commencing a five-year term from September 2.
Ms Scully currently serves as Landgate general manager location services and was selected for the top role after an extensive recruitment process, which included panel representation from property and public sectors.
Ms Scully brings nearly 30 years’ experience to the position, spanning across a variety of areas including auditing, finance, strategy, project and general management.
During her time at Landgate, she has been responsible for several major projects including leading a team to help deliver partial commercialisation of the agency's automated land titling functions, a project valued at $1.4 billion.
Ms Scully also secured a 10-year commitment from the state government to deliver a digital tool used for cross-sector data visualisation called an Advanced Spatial Digital Twin for Landgate's program Spatial WA.
Former Landgate chief Mr Gammie retired from the agency earlier this year after a five-year tenure, with general manager of registration services Bruce Roberts stepping up in the interim.
Lands Minister John Carey said he looked forward to collaborating with Ms Scully once she commences her new role.
“Ms Scully brings a wealth of experience of nearly 30 years across finance, strategy and senior management roles, including her current role at Landgate as general manager location services,” Mr Carey said.
“I also want to take the opportunity to acknowledge Bruce Roberts, registrar of titles at Landgate for his efforts as interim chief executive.”
Earlier this month, Landgate awarded IT services company Akkodis Australia Consulting with a contract to provide managed applications support services, valued at $75 million.
These services, to be delivered from November 1, include maintenance, development and support of managed applications within Landgate that underpin the agency’s core land information functions.
Landgate also awarded a 10-year contract to Kinetic IT this month to deliver infrastructure and corporate network services, cyber security and threat protection services, end-user support, and service desk management.
The contract, valued at $85 million, also commences on November 1.
