Alexanders Securities has appointed Michael Kiernan as managing director effective immediately.
This follows on from Mr Kiernan deciding to inject $1 million of capital into the Sydney-based investment company in July.
Mr Kiernan's unlisted investment vehicle, Crawley Investments agreed to buy 100 million shares at 1 cent per share at a time when Alexanders' shares were trading at 2.5 cents per share.
Crawley will also receive 150 million options with an issue price of 0.01c exerciseable at 10c and 20c each.
Mr Kiernan, an household name in the Western Australian mining and resources arena, has held posts with a number of diifferent organsiations, most recently with collapsed goldminer Monarch Gold.
The board of the financial services firm believes the appointment of Mr Kiernan will greatly assist the company to pursue a range of new strategic corporate opportunities.
