Key new Perth roles for BankWest, HSBC and NAB

BankWest and HSBC have both appointed WA state managers for their commercial banking departments.The new roles follow the appointment of a new state manager for business and premium banking at NAB last week.

Andre Tolj has been selected for the role at BankWest, which is currently in the midst of an aggressive growth strategy.

Mr Tolj, who has over 25 years experience, said BankWest's recent successes in the business banking market and expansion plans attracted him to the role. He holds an advanced diploma in finance and is working towards an executive MBA.
Meanwhile, Gene Lilly has been appointed to the role at HSBC and will be responsible for continuing development of HSBC's commercial and corporate business base in Western Australia.

Mr Lilly has been a senior relationship manager with HSBC in Western Australia for four years. During that time he has successfully helped to lift HSBC's profile in the West Ausatralian commercial business sector.

Mr Lilly previously worked for National Australia Bank in a variety of roles and responsibilites from head of credit for Western Australia to area manager commercial banking South Australia and senior manager corporate and wholesale banking South Australia.

Last week, NAB announced the appointment of Andrew Whitechurch as state general manager for business and premium banking.
Mr Whitechurch is one of NAB's leading young executives and brings 13 years of international banking experience to his new role.
He has previously been a member of the NAB group executive team, as general manager corporate strategy for the NAB group, and more recently as a senior executive at the NAB's New Zealand operations.
