Integra Mining has announced drilling at its Majestic gold discovery near Kalgoorlie has returned a large number of gold anomalous intercepts.
In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, Integra said that RC drilling has already outlined high-grade gold mineralisation over a 200 metre strike length at the Majestic discovery zone.
The company completed 888 aircore drill holes and said 50 demonstrated wide-spread gold anomalism consistent with a large intrusive related gold system.
The best result was 3 metres at 7.3 grams per tonne of gold.
Integra managing director Chris Cairns said the latest results provided more strong evidence that Majestic was emerging as a major gold mineralised system.
"It is pleasing that so soon after the official opening the Randalls Gold Project we can see the potential for the Majestic to extend mine life and complement our plans for underground production from the high-grade banded iron hosted gold deposits at Cock-eyed Bob, Maxwells and Santa," Mr Cairns said.

Integra Mining Limited (ASX:IGR) is pleased to report that further reconnaissance aircore drilling at its Majestic gold discovery has returned a large number of gold anomalous intercepts which offer strong promise for follow-up RC drilling.
RC drilling has already outlined high-grade gold mineralisation over a 200m strike length at the Majestic discovery zone (see ASX announcements 20/08/10, 6/07/10, 25/05/10 and 3/05/10) which is located just 22km north of the Randalls Gold Project near Kalgoorlie (Figure 1), where Integra is now in production and ramping up to an annual rate of 90,000 ounces. Further extensional drilling of the discovery zone has been completed and results will be released when all assays have been received.
The latest aircore drilling has demonstrated wide-spread gold anomalism consistent with a large intrusive related gold system. The aircore drilling gold anomaly is now in the order of 2.5km by 2km and remains open to the north, south and east. The 50 aircore drill holes returning +1 g/t gold present a large number of priority one targets for RC drill follow-up. This drilling is now in progress. A location map with +1g/t gold aircore drilling results is presented in Figure 2.
Aircore drilling is a reconnaissance drilling technique which will penetrate overlying sands and weathered clays to obtain a bedrock sample. In this type of reconnaissance drilling, an assay result of +0.1g/t (100ppb) gold is considered of interest while results +1g/t (1000ppb) are considered highly anomalous. The technique is not powerful enough to penetrate far into fresh rock and gold anomalies generated by this drilling method need to be followed up by RC or diamond drilling to test for bedrock gold mineralisation.
Of the total of 888 aircore drill holes (drilled on a notional 100m x 40m grid) completed:
50 drill holes (6%) returned intercepts +1 g/t including:
3 metres at 7.30 g/t gold
4 metres at 3.97 g/t gold
4 metres at 2.98 g/t gold
4 metres at 2.87 g/t gold
4 metres at 2.82 g/t gold
4 metres at 2.59 g/t gold*
151 drill holes (17%) returned intercepts +0.5 g/t gold
376 drill holes (42%) returned intercepts +0.2 g/t gold, and
537 drill holes (60%) returned anomalous intercepts +0.1 g/t gold.
*Note: Most aircore drilling is sampled by 4 metre composites.
