The Property Council of Australia is holding a sustainable development seminar focusing on ‘green buildings’ through the examination of three case studies, September 28 at Central Park. Hassell associate Chris Watkins will discuss a recently completed Adelaide project which has achieved a Green Star rating and Hames Sharley associate James Edwards will outline why Perth’s new Century City project has committed to a Green Star rating and an ABGR rating, and what it means to the developers. Tim Ward, Central Park property director, will also explain why Central Park has focused on sustainability as one of its key objectives. Through these case studies the drivers of the development of green buildings will be identified, as well as the reasons that developers and owners have committed to ‘going green’. Registration for this informative seminar costs $99 for Property Council members and $132 for non members.
