Subiaco-based Global Nickel Investments says it will look for other takeover opportunities after it dropped its planned acquisition of a medical device company.

 

The announcement is below:

 

The Board of Global Nickel Investments Limited ("the Company") wishes to advise that it has not been able to complete a number of key matters satisfactorily in connection with its proposed acquisition of Minomic International Ltd announced to the market on 10 February 2009 and will therefore not proceed with the proposed acquisition as contemplated by the Heads of Agreement.

The Company will continue to seek to identify other opportunities for the Company, evaluated against criteria founded on a potential to make a fundamental positive change to shareholder value and generate investor interest.
