Geraldton women up for award

TWO of Geraldton’s finest, Mayor Vickie Petersen and Bluff Point physiotherapist Mia Royce have been named finalists in this year’s Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award.

Ms Petersen is a mother of three and a partner in the family’s successful transport business.

She is also Geraldton’s youngest mayor.

Ms Royce bought the Bluff Point Physiotherapy practise four years ago.

At that stage she had been a physiotherapist for three years and had helped build up the business.

In the past four years she has grown the business from being a sole practitioner operation to now having five physiotherapists.
